Back up and running with a new computer after a long days' work, I got back to work in the shop with the engine. Since the direction of the overall project depended at least in part on the determinations of this week's explorations, I prepared the engine for closer inspection.  To this end, I built a quick stand for the engine, and bolted it in place.  Afterwards, I reconnected the various peripherals--heat exchanger, exhaust riser, and alternator--and documented the engine's condition.
