Summer Song | Wednesday, November 2, 2011

To begin, I vacuumed off the decks, followed by a solvent wash to clean the areas for the next steps ahead.

Afterwards, I applied fine epoxy fairing compound to the areas required.  The photos make the filling appear more significant than it was; although there were widespread areas to fill, most were simply gelcoat cracking, pinholes, and porosity that the high-build primer failed to fill.

There was nothing else I could do to advance the project at this point, while waiting for the compound to cure, so I worked on other things the remainder of the day.
