Summer Song | Thursday, November 3, 2011

The fairing compound had cured adequately, so I sanded the decks once more to remove the excess, completing the sanding process required at this stage.

Afterwards, I thoroughly cleaned the boat and shop to remove the fine sanding dust from the week's efforts, eventually finishing up with solvent-washing the decks with the proprietary wipe-down solvent.  I prepared paint and sundries for finish primer, but unfortunately I'd not be able to spray the primer till Monday; although the boat (and I) was ready now, I'd not have time to sand the new primer in a timely manner over the weekend if I applied it on Friday, so I was forced to postpone the primer for a few days.
