With a short day planned thanks to an afternoon appointment, it was the perfect time to install some final core and fiberglass, which, once in place, would naturally limit what I could do on board anyway.

After final preparations, including light sanding of yesterday's work and subsequent cleanup, I got ready to laminate new fiberglass over the entire port and starboard sidedeck repairs.  I'd already cut the fiberglass for the job, but because of some odd shapes I thought it prudent to dry-fit the material to ensure it fit properly before I wet it out.  I made some minor adjustments, mainly around the bases of the coaming blocks, and drew some reference marks for alignment.

Before installing the fiberglass, I applied some thickened epoxy along the edges of the new core and yesterday's interim layer of fiberglass to ease any final transitions between the various materials, and left that to partially tack up before continuing.

Meanwhile, I prepared the foredeck for its final core.  With the plywood center section installed and secured, I removed the weights and cut and fitted balsa core for the area to each side of the center; moving quickly, I forgot to photograph the dry-fit core.

With the new core ready to go, I wet out the bottom side and prepared the inner deck skin as usual with epoxy adhesive, and installed the core on both sides.

Next, I installed two layers of fiberglass over each of the two sidedeck areas aft, laminated in epoxy resin.
