Ms Lynne G | Thursday, November 6, 2014

With only a short day on hand, I focused on the new coamings and brightwork, as keeping the varnish work going forward was key to the completion schedule.

With a sharp chisel, I pared away the excess bungs from the new coamings and elsewhere as needed, then lightly sanded the coamings to prepare for varnish.  After masking off around the edges and other final preparations, I applied a coat of varnish to all areas.

When I'd finished the coamings, I applied another coat of varnish to the toerails.
