Equinox Project | Thursday, February 26, 2009

With the wire I needed backordered at my normal supplier, I decided to visit another local store to get what I needed in order to wrap up the bulk wiring portion of the project.  I also needed to return the incorrect solar vent, so it was a good opportunity to combine several errands.

Back at the shop later in the morning, I worked on some miscellany before turning to the installation of the stern pulpit.  This conceptually simple job inevitably turned into two hours of work, between preparing the fastener holes, final installation, and cleanup.

Late in the afternoon, the owners arrived with the new engine for the boat:  Beta Marine BZ482, a 13.5 HP, 2-cylinder diesel.  After a boat inspection tour, we unloaded the engine, which I looked forward to installing in the near future.
