Switching this time to a finer-grit paper, I sanded the deck areas once more to smooth the latest application of fairing compound. Once I'd completed the sanding, I vacuumed and solvent washed, then applied gray fine fairing compound (epoxy) as needed to fill small remaining voids and pinholes.
The new plywood and hardwood for the project arrived on schedule, and I'd be turning to the woodwork soon.
