With only a small amount of time available this day, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to build an engine installation template for the new Beta Marine 25.
From the measured drawing supplied by the engine manufacturer, I built a basic plywood template that represented the maximum length and width of the engine, along with accurately-located positions for the mounting flange centers and propeller shaft centerline.
Later, I'd use this template to lay out and build the new foundations, and then to determine the final position of the new engine itself.
