Summer Song | Monday, November 28, 2011

Picking up where I left off before the holiday weekend, I stripped the old layers of varnish off the companionway hatch and forward hatch, then sanded all the newly-stripped woodwork to prepare it for varnish.  These photos show the woodwork after wiping with paint thinner.

With the stripping and sanding complete, I finished up the day working on masking the toerails, companionway trim, and other areas for the varnish work ahead, then vacuumed and solvent-washed as needed.
