The overhead panels and beadboard required one more round of enamel, so I sanded and applied the third coat.  Apparently I forgot to take pictures of the plywood panels with their third coat.

Preparing to install the in-hull sidelights, after determining the lights' locations (the large holes from the original lights were still there), I overbored and filled the fastener locations with epoxy to isolate them from the hull core.  Earlier I'd treated the exposed edges of the large openings.

The support structure for the port water tank beneath the settee left small but potentially useful storage spaces between it and the settee structure.  Much earlier, the owner elected to add small access ports to these spaces, but I'd held off installing these hatches to avoid the possibility of damage during the remaining construction.  But now the time had come.  For each open space, I prepared an opening for a simple plastic 4" round deck plate, which fit the spaces and would allow sufficient access within.  I'd install the actual hatches soon, but first I wanted to paint the berth tops, and after masking I applied the first of what would end up being two coats of paint, since the old plywood tops soaked up a lot of pint.

In the afternoon, I sanded the coaming blanks through the grits to smooth the surfaces and milled edges, and prepare them for varnish and eventual installation.  Once I'd completed the sanding, I applied a sealer coat of thinned varnish to all surfaces.

Afterwards, I worked my way through the stack of cabinet door blanks, sanding each smooth through the grits to prepare them for varnish and additional steps.  I had enough time to complete eight of the doors, after which I applied a sealer coat of varnish to all surfaces.
