After sanding the first coat of fairing filler on the aft portion of the keel, I cleaned up and applied additional fairing compound to continue the process.

After removing the wooden support structure and unclamping the electric motor template, I was left with a secure, stable base platform, the first stage of the final foundation.  Before continuing, I brought the motor into the boat and set it in place using the additional 1/2" layer of G-10 and 1/4" temporary spacer to keep the unit at the intended height, and clamped it in place to double check the platform height and location.

Satisfied that the initial setup was as intended, I laminated the second 1/2" thickness of G-10 to the one already in place, clamping it securely.  At the hull side, in several applications over the remainder of the day, I installed a wide fillet to tie the platform in with the hull and provide a base for the eventual tabbing inside and out.

Turning to the head, I milled, sanded, cut, and installed a cherry fiddle on the countertop, and some corner trim in the forward cabin to cover the seam between the main bulkhead and the angled head bulkhead taping the trim securely to hold it while the glue cured.

For the head door jambs, I prepared a pair of thicker pieces of cherry by gluing two thinner pieces together, and set them aside for later use.

I had to leave the shop a little early, but had enough time to continue the varnish work on deck.
