Snow Lily | Monday, April 29, 2013 After a few days away from the shop, it was time to shift things around and get Snow Lily ready to face the harsh outdoors, as I needed to move her out of the shop to make way for another project. To begin, however, I continued work on the quarterberth, where I sanded the modified and primed bulkhead I started a few days earlier; afterwards, I applied the first coat of semi-gloss white enamel. |
After removing tools and other equipment, and making final preparations for the weather, including adjusting all the ports so they could be tightly dogged, I moved the boat outdoors, where she'd remain for the remainder of the project. With the bulk of the work complete, only a few details remained, mainly some final installations for the battery bank and related components that were on their way here as of this writing. |

The owner changed where he planned to keep the boat during the season, so at his request I ordered a new hailport to reflect the change, and later in the day I removed the original port and installed the new one. Not only did the new marina look like a nice spot, the new hailport looked better on the transom too. |
