After some final preparations and cleanup, I prepared all the pieces of new 1/2" balsa core for the coachroof.  I laid out the pieces in such a way as to allow me to install the smaller pieces and edge sections (those passing beneath the existing edges of the coachroof) first, and separately, to make installation of the larger pieces more straightforward later.

I realized later that I'd forgotten to omit the core around the two Dorade vent openings, adjacent to the mast partners.  I'd cut out sections of the core in those areas before installing it, but since I wasn't installing the large pieces on this day that could wait.

Once all the core was cut and the areas prepared, I installed the small and edge pieces of core in epoxy adhesive, ensuring I filled any small voids in the areas beneath the deck edge not filled with the new core.  I troweled additional epoxy over the core to fill the kerfs and any small voids around the edges of the core pieces, and weighted the new core down till the epoxy cured.  Low-tech still works.

Over the broad areas, I applied a skim coat of thickened epoxy to fill any small voids and unevenness present in the exposed inner skin and better prepare those areas for core adhesion.
