Sailmaster 131 | Wednesday, November 20, 2013

After final preparations, I concentrated on interior paint work, beginning with a coat of gray Bilgekote in the chain locker.

Working from forward to aft, I applied a coat of primer to the undersides of the decks, exposed hull sections, cabinets, and settee bases, including the inside of the cockpit well and quarterberth areas.

With the interior off limits with the fresh paint, I worked the remainder of the day on various shop projects, including the cabin sole and other interior trim, preparing for and applying additional varnish.

Finally, I stripped the old finish from the companionway ladder, leaving it ready for sanding and varnish.
