Hattie
Mae | Wednesday, June 3, 2009 I was away from the shop on some other business for the first part of the morning, but upon my return I got right to work sanding the finish primer that I applied yesterday. I began in the cockpit well, which I consider the worst part of the process and therefore a great area to get out of the way, and then moved on to the coachroof and any other areas that I couldn't reach from the staging. Then, since the staging was still at its lower height, I went ahead and sanded the hull primer. For finish primer sanding, I used 320 grit paper by machine and by hand as required. With the hull complete, I reset the staging back to deck height, and wrapped up the day by sanding the flat deck areas and the cabin trunk, leaving only the toerails to sand tomorrow. |
