I washed and sanded yesterday's initial new laminations on the leading edge of the keel, then installed three additional layers of fiberglass, covering a larger area, wrapping slightly around the edge of the keel, and beginning to fill out the depression.

With a small sanding disc in hand, I went around the boat and opened up as needed any of the small nicks and gouges in the hull to prepare them for filling, including old mounting holes from a transom-mounted windvane, plus the small collection of minor marks on other parts of the boat.

Afterwards, I vacuumed and solvent-washed the hull, then applied a coat of fine fairing filler to all the areas as required.  I left these to cure for the weekend.
