Equinox Project | Friday, January 16, 2009 I had a short day today since I had an appointment away from the shop during the middle of the day, but I got going early to ensure enough time to accomplish what I needed to on the boat. After the week's frustrating delays, I was anxious to sand the high-build primer and apply any additional spot-fairing compound that might be necessary. Fortunately, the primer was nicely cured by now, and sanding with 220 grit paper went quickly. As usual and as designed, the primer revealed a couple low spots that required filling. Once I'd sanded the hull adequately and cleaned off the areas in question, I mixed and applied more Alexseal fine filler to smooth the minor lowness, and left the shop for the day to attend my appointment. Next week: finish primer and topcoats. |
