Circe
| Wednesday, January 6, 2010 I finished up the final preparations required for the topcoats on the smooth areas of the deck, beginning with installing masking paper over the field areas of the cockpit, where I'd left off yesterday. Then, I marked borders around the cabin trunk and toerail, and other portions of the side decks as needed, and applied masking tape and paper to the remaining areas. Afterwards, I vacuumed once more, solvent-washed with Alexseal wipe-down solvent, and washed down the shop; finally, I prepared the paint and spray equipment. |
To wrap things up for the day, applied the 4th coat of varnish to the second side of the coamings up in the finishing room. |
