Bolero Project | Monday, September 15, 2008

With Bolero's shipping date fast approaching (due to be picked up on Friday the 19th), I completed the final preparations required for her transport.  With some new ratchet straps, I secured the mast to the deck, and secured the supporting horses as required to prevent movement.

I also secured plastic over the mast partners to prevent water ingress and secured a small wooden block (with hot melt glue--simply tap it lightly and it should come off easily) to the rails forward of the companionway slide to prevent it from moving at all during transport, since no hasp was fitted.

Finally, I added some foam and cotton padding to the trailer's stem support so the hull paint wouldn't rub on the rubber.  Now it was all about the waiting...
