Bolero Project | Thursday, May 8, 2008

After water-washing the new fiberglass in the cockpit, I sanded the material lightly to remove any sharp edges, and then sanded the entire inside of the cockpit--hull, sole, and aft bulkhead--through 80 and 120 grits on two different sanders to prepare the cockpit for primer and paint, which I planned to do soon.

After cleaning up the dust from the cockpit and elsewhere, I continued work on the cockpit seat slats, and finally finished up all the milling and sanding of the remaining slats.  I also sanded and cleaned up the after hatch frame.  This, along with more cleanup, took me to the end of the day's work on Bolero.
