2.5 hour session to strip, sand, and clean the various panels and trim pieces.  The large panels and several of the trim pieces were bare wood upon arrival; other trim pieces had coatings in various condition.  As needed, I sanded the wood clean with 120 and 220 grit paper, then solvent-washed to check the grain and color.

A few of the trim pieces were extremely dark in color, and no amount of sanding seemed to change the base color.  The rest of the panels and trim pieces cleaned up quite well with nice color when dampened with solvent.

1-hour session to apply the first (thinned) coat of gloss varnish base to all pieces.

December 18, 2021

1.5-hour session to sand, clean, and apply the second coat of gloss varnish to all pieces.

December 20, 2021

0.5-hour session to sand and clean the wood.

December 23, 2021

1-hour session to apply the third base coat of gloss varnish.

December 27, 2021

0.5-hour session to sand and clean all the wood.

January 3, 2022

1-hour session to apply the fourth coat of varnish, this time satin varnish.

January 7, 2022

0.5-hour session to lightly sand the panels and most of the wood trim; I set aside several of the trim pieces that did not require additional varnish.

January 8, 2022

1-hour session to apply the 5th coat of varnish (satin rubbed-effect).

January 12, 2022

1.5-hour session to wrap and package the panels and trim pieces for shipment.
