With an appointment that would take me away from the shop for much of the day, I concentrated on a couple smaller tasks to fill the short time available.

Down on the bench, I temporarily assembled the three pieces of the main galley countertop so I could pre-cut the sheet laminate to fit.  Because of the size of the countertop--too large to fit through the companionway in one piece--I couldn't install the laminate before the countertop was installed, but still needed to cut the sheet to size.

With the large sheet of laminate rolled out and clamped in place, I trimmed it to the shape of the countertop with a laminate trimmer, and set the countertop and laminate aside for later use.  I'd cut the various openings (sink, stove, refer) once the countertop was permanently installed.

Now that the largest piece was cut, I used some of the leftover to cover the nav station countertop, permanently installing and trimming the laminate to the countertop blank.

Next, I installed the nav station counter in epoxy adhesive, and also secured the final section of cherry veneer to the small bulkhead above, which I'd withheld till the countertop was in place.

To round out the short day's work, I applied an additional coat of fairing filler to the undersides of the sidedecks inboard of the new settee cabinetry.
