Once more, I sanded the undersides of the sidedecks and cockpit well in the quarterberth, this time with a finish sander and 80-120 grit paper to smooth the surfaces and prepare for primer and paint.  Other than a couple small areas requiring fine-tuning, the work here was complete for now.

The molded galley cabinet and quarterberth areas required additional finish sanding.  Much earlier, I'd sanded these areas during the bulk sanding phase of the project, but to ready them for primer and paint I sanded with a vibrating sander to 120 grit, taking care of tight corners and other areas by hand as needed.

After cleanup, I worked on more of the bulkhead paneling, this time in the after section of the cabin, including sections of the galley, nav station, and quarterberth.  As elsewhere, I made simple paper patterns of each space to be covered, then transferred the patterns to a sheet of 1/4" cherry plywood that I'd previously selected for these panels.  I just enough time before the end of the day to cut out all the panels and test-fit most of them.
