Ms Lynne G | Monday, October 6, 2014

After tacking off and other final preparations, I applied three coats of white Alexseal epoxy finish primer to the deck areas, working again in two phases to allow access to all areas:  first the cockpit well and coachroof, then the remaining areas.

When I'd completed the deck primer, I removed the staging and moved right on to the hull, applying four coats of gray primer.  While this created overspray on the newly-primed decks, this posed no problem to the end result as sanding would remove the overspray, and in fact it would serve helpfully as a sort of guide coat for sanding.  But it didn't look very good for the moment, besmirching the otherwise clean white decks.
