I had hoped to start the wiring today, and spent part of the morning moving the related supplies up to the boat, setting up a wire reel, and preparing for the work.  But I soon realized that I needed to work on the final mounting for the electrical panel in the boat, so that I wouldn't have wires in the way and so that I could plan for the mounting of various ancillary items (buss bars, terminal blocks, and the like) beforehand.  So I worked on that instead, and several other related tasks that don't bear description here.  Just getting the supplies and tools organized took much of the morning.

I planned an early end to the day to get out on the water for my designated weekly sail, so after lunch I worked on the cabin sole, sanding the epoxy that I'd applied yesterday and then preparing the sole for the first coat of varnish.  Then, I applied the first of several coats of varnish to the sole and hatches.

I wrapped up the day with some more project planning to organize the punch list for the remaining jobs at hand, and to prepare additional purchase lists.

Total Time on This Job Today:  5.25 hours
