I spent the morning sanding the high-build primer, using 220 grit paper by machine and by hand as needed.

The primer application highlighted a few areas on the hull that required minor fine-tuning, so once I'd vacuumed and solvent-washed the hull after sanding, I applied thin amounts of fine epoxy fairing compound as needed, which brought me to the end of what I could accomplish.  Assuming all went well, I expected to apply finish primer in the morning, so I made various preparations to that end before leaving for the day.
