I had to run some errands in the morning, some unrelated, but also to pick up a sheet of plywood for the new cabin sole substrate and engine foundations, as well as to order countertop material.

During the time I had at the shop in the afternoon, I worked on several smaller projects.  With the end bulkhead for the electrical locker now securely installed, I cut and fastened hardwood cleats on the inside edge to support the locker's front panel, and temporarily secured the panel with one screw.  Then, I aligned it properly--that is, square to the end bulkhead--and marked the after bulkhead where it landed, so I could install a support cleat there as well.

Once I worked out a layout for the equipment that would be in this locker, I could make a decision where and how to cut and hinge and trim the panel to allow for access. For now, I left the front panel off pending these decisions, but having the end panel in place meant that some other areas of interior finish work could proceed at will.  Meantime, I could install some wire chases through the aft bulkhead, since this would be easier without the front panel in place.

It seemed like a good time to cut and install bungs in the various screw holes from the week's work, which pretty much took me through the end of the afternoon.

I received word from a local shipping depot that the new diesel engine had arrived, so I made plans to pick that up on Monday.  This would allow me to proceed with the engine foundations, which I'd delayed beginning since I discovered a disparity between an engine template I built for the same model engine a couple years ago and the current measured drawing, so I wanted the engine on hand to confirm various real-world measurements before relying upon anything.
