Blue Teal | Wednesday, July 31, 2013

After some other commitments during the morning, I got back to work, picking up with the tail ends of several of the projects started earlier.  The secondary shelf for the port bulkhead was complete, so I installed it with a hardwood cleat to support the outboard (port) end, and two bolts through the bulkhead and flange beneath the shelf.  I prepared a VHF and stereo for final installation on this shelf in the near future.

Meanwhile, I continued paint and varnish work on some of the other small bits and pieces remaining.  Completing the finish work on these parts would allow me to install the step and trim on the engine box and wrap up that work.

In the head, I finished up the cork on the overhead; this would allow me to hang the final light fixture soon.
