Waanderlust Project--Phase II | Tuesday, May 17, 2011

I continued with the various varnishing work while I awaited my materials delivery later in the week.  Once more, I sanded and varnished the inside deadlight trim and the cockpit coamings and cockpit trim.  The cockpit coamings, which had been badly weathered and dry, continued to soak up varnish, but seemed to finally be becoming stable and beginning to allow buildup and improved gloss.

I received word that the new fuel tank was complete, and made arrangements to rendezvous at an agreeable midway point to pick up the tank.   The new tank was a near identical copy of the original tank's shape and dimensions.

With a meeting about another project scheduled for the afternoon, this wrapped up the day's accomplishments.
