Summer Song | Friday, December 2, 2011

After sanding the brightwork to prepare for varnish later in the day, I cut and installed mahogany bungs in the handrail fastener holes, allowing plenty time for the glue to cure so I could continue the varnish work.  Later, I trimmed and sanded the bungs flush.

I continued with various hardware installations, working on the poop deck, foredeck, and port sidedeck.

Finally, late in the day I cleaned up and applied the fourth coat of varnish to all areas after masking off the handrails (third coat on the handrails).
