After cleaning up a bit from the recent toerail milling activities, I prepared the new toerail sections for gluing, vacuuming and solvent-washing all the pieces to clean them.  I thoroughly cleaned a large section of the shop floor so I could lay the rails out and glue the sections together.

After a final acetone wash of the mating surfaces of each joint, I coated the joints with unthickened epoxy and let that sit for a little while while I completed other preparations.

The four pieces together were quite overlong, and I'd need to trim them before I could think about installing on the boat, but for now I left the tail ends stick out the door into the woodshop.

With slightly thickened epoxy, I glued the sections together, clamping each joint securely and doing what I could to remove excess epoxy from the seams.

To ensure a strong glue bond, I planned to leave the rail sections clamped up for several days while the epoxy fully cured, so I'd have to work around the rails on the floor in the meantime.

After spending some time measuring and working on some possible details related to the upcoming propulsion system installation, I refocused on the interior, beginning with the bungs in the galley, leftover from the panel installation a few days earlier, and trimmed the bungs flush.

Next, I milled some slim pieces of solid cherry to use for various trim tasks, starting with the top edges of the settee and galley lockers.  The undersides of the sidedecks, against which these panels rested, were smooth and ready for paint, but the surfaces were not perfectly flat.  I'd scribed the panels for a close fit, but there was still a need for some small trim pieces to enhance appearance.  For each of these three panels, I carefully scribed solid cherry trim to fit tightly, then installed the trim with glue and clamps.
