It was a short day on the project, without any major things underway while awaiting critical materials, and another small, unrelated project at the shop to work on, but during the morning I prepared the new cockpit locker lids for their final surfacing work by lightly sanding the newest additions to the small lips, then skim coating the exposed surfaces of the locker lids to fill the small surface voids left over from their construction.

Meanwhile, I applied some spot filler to a few areas on the bottom that required attention.   Given the overall condition of the bottom, and the general minimal remaining gelcoat, I planned on a barrier coat application at some point, and these minor repairs were the first step in that direction.

Later, I moved the mast from its storage place to a spot near the shop where I could work on it conveniently in the days ahead.
