After an extended phone conference with the owner late last week, during which we discussed many of the upcoming portions of the projects and related decisions, I spent most of this day working on planning, materials specifications, and some basic "feasibility studies" (which sounds far more involved than the reality) regarding choices for the propulsion system, with both diesel and electric systems under consideration--both with their pros and cons, and balances of real-world needs and ideal hopes.

Click here for a more detailed report on the day's focus in this area.

Along with various smaller jobs, the main focus in the coming weeks would turn to rebuilding the interior, as well as additional exterior work on major installations like the toerail, and specifying and obtaining the materials for these jobs was the priority for the moment.  Word on the street was that the new ports were in the country and on their way here, alas without the templates for the large ones, which were apparently missing in action somewhere.  So preliminary ports installation (i.e. opening preparation) would be in the near future as well.
