Snow Lily | Tuesday, August 21, 2012

With a short day planned, it seemed a good opportunity to paint out several areas of the interior.  I was expecting the new water tanks soon, and wanted to paint the spaces beneath the settees to prepare.

After removing the top panels, and, on the starboard side, the side panel, I vacuumed and solvent-washed the hull and sides of the lockers, then applied a coat of gray Bilgekote.

Down on the bench, I prepped and painted the various top and side panels.

Finally, I lightly sanded the drawer fronts and applied a second coat of base varnish.
