Preparing for the upcoming forward hatch installation, I measured for and milled some simple trim for the inside of the hatch opening, to cover the edge of the exposed deck once the hatch was in place.  I wouldn't install these till the hatch was installed, however.

In order to install the hatch, the new frame required more varnish, so I sanded it to prepare for a coat of varnish late in the day.

Another small task remaining on the list was to replace an older articulating pole light, mounted on the windshield, which incorporated an anchor light and the required masthead light for operating at night.  I'd removed the old unit much earlier, and now installed and wired in the new version using the existing wires.
