Sailmaster 131 | Thursday, August 15, 2013

I got started by finishing up the sanding and bulk paint removal on the port hull, and cleaning up the sanding debris.

There was no way to effectively machine-sand several areas of the boat, including the recessed cove stripe and the curved gunwale area.  So armed with scrapers and sandpaper, I hand-worked these areas to remove old paint and, in the cove, old vinyl that had proved fruitless to remove with a heat gun.
