Kaholee Refit | September 4, 2007

After a long weekend, I looked forward to getting back to work.  With a few distractions during the morning, I couldn't concentrate as much as I had hoped, but still managed to make acceptable progress on the wiring and a few other chores.

Additional wire and related supplies arrived in late morning, so I was able to continue with the wiring runs.  I ran the long wires up to the chain locker for the pulpit-mounted sidelights, and also ran the wires aft to the stern pulpit, though I didn't connect those just yet.

I installed the final 12V outlet--this one near the eventual portable refrigerator location, where I had run wires last week--and ran AC wiring to another new receptacle in the galley, as well as to the water heater located beneath the galley.

I installed and wired the fresh water pump in the space forward of the water heater, and also installed the accumulator tank.  As I worked, I cleaned up and tied up wires where appropriate, though I left the main wiring runs only loosely contained for now until I was sure I didn't need to run additional wires through.

Late in the afternoon, I masked off the cabin sole and applied a first coat of white paint to the edges to tie the new sole in with the surrounding areas.  I also painted the holding tank, finally, as the time for installation of this was drawing near.
