With the seahood top all glued up now, I began by trimming it to the proper size, using a circular saw and then the table saw.  Then, I sanded the joints smooth and epoxied the top to the side frames, forming a strengthening fillet on the inside of the joint.  I left this to cure before completing additional milling steps.

Next, it was back to the holding tank.  Yesterday's fillets had cured, so I sanded all the exterior edges of the unit to create smooth, rounded corners to better accept fiberglass tape.  Then, I applied a layer of 17 oz. biaxial tape (4), followed by a layer of 10 oz. cloth (8") over all the corners.

Later on, I sanded and revarnished all the trim  I started yesterday, and then removed the tape and semi-cured sealant from around the forward hatch.  Finally, I installed a stainless steel rail across the front (inside) of the stove enclosure to stiffen the forward bulkhead and provide a strong grabrail.  I throughbolted it to both bulkheads.

Next week is scheduled to be pretty much the last week of "Phase I" of this project, with another boat scheduled to arrive shortly thereafter.  Therefore, I plan to focus on completing the jobs that are already underway, and ensuring that all the items that need be completed in order to make the exterior weathertight are completed.  Meantime, there's a long list of projects awaiting the beginning of "Phase II" for a little later on.  (More on this later.)
