With the primer sanding and initial cleaning complete, I moved on to the final preparations required before Thursday's hull topcoats.  I struck the top edge of a new boottop using the same techniques I'd used earlier to strike a new waterline, and then masked off the area beneath, so that the boottop paint would go on over primer and not over the hull paint.

With the taping complete, I solvent-washed the hull a final time, reset the staging, and washed down the shop and staging again.  I prepared the paint materials and spray equipment, and waited till the morning to continue the paint work.
