I spent the day working on the electrical system, beginning with the battery cables.  I ran several lengths of #2AWG battery cable from the electrical locker to the bilge-mounted battery location, and made up the ends of the cables as required, leaving the cables loose in the battery compartment for now (later I'd secure them, once the batteries were in place) and securing the other ends to the appropriate terminals on the battery switch, automatic charging relay device (ACR), and distribution busses.

I also ran two small wires to the battery compartment for eventual connection to the battery gauge that would be in the main service panel.

I was still awaiting delivery of the electrical panel, but there were plenty of wiring connections I could make up in its absence.  I began the process by sorting out the wires and separating the yellow negative wires, which, over the course of the afternoon, I cut to length and secured to the negative distribution buss with ring terminals.

Before knocking off for the day, I sorted out the positive wires and installed some additional wire tie mounts after anticipating where these wires would run through the service area.

Finally, I sanded and revarnished the handrails; the cabinet doors and trim were complete.
