I began with the exhaust outlet, a flanged bronze assembly designed for the 2" exhaust size of the engine.  I located the fitting in the same place as the old fitting, drilled a hole through the hull, drilled and tapped for three machine screw fasteners, and secured the fitting in a bed of sealant.

Next:  chainplates.  I installed the five chainplates using new bolts--bronze, except for stainless steel for the backstay chainplate, which was stainless.  For each chainplate, I secured them through their deck slots to the respective knees and bulkheads, and tightened the fasteners.  On deck, I installed the original deck covers over the openings, using new screws and plenty of sealant.  While I was at it, I installed the clamshell and screen over the existing fuel tank vent opening in the transom.

The new lifelines were complete, and the rigger delivered and installed them, as well as wrapping up the final loose ends from some of the headstay work.

Meanwhile, I cleaned up the four deadlights and frames, which required old sealant removal and wire brushing to clean up and remove oxidation.  The lenses were tinted tempered glass and were in good condition for reuse.

Finally, I installed the six opening ports.  I left the opening portions off for now and installed the bodies and exterior trim rings in a bed of polysulfide sealant, after which I cleaned up the excess.
