I spent the day on the final preparations for deck primer, namely masking off various port and hatch openings and covering the hull from the toerail down with plastic and paper.

Once I'd completed the masking, I solvent-washed the decks with Alexseal wipe-down solvent, and then staged the various paint supplies I'd need for the job on Monday.  All that remained to do was to wash down the floor and staging, and set up the supplied air hose and spray equipment, which I'd take care of over the weekend.

To end the day, I sanded the coamings and applied another coat of varnish to the second side (3).
