Bolero Project | Thursday, April 17, 2008

My time in the shop was unfortunately quite limited today thanks to some other non-flexible commitments, but in the couple hours that I did manage, I cut and installed all the cleats on the bottom sides of the v-berth panels at the locker openings.  There's little of interest in this process, but the cleats are solid mahogany secured with bronze screws and glue.

Afterwards, I painted the cleats and insides of the openings with Bilgekote so that the panels would be ready for permanent installation on the 'morrow.
