I lost Thursday to an appointment in the morning, and then a power outage 5 minutes after I started working in the afternoon.  So, anxious to start to catch up after a less productive week than I'd hoped, I got back to it on the decks, sanding all areas once more as required, this time with finer sandpaper and a different sander now that the surfaces were at or nearing their final contours.

Most of the deck areas were decent for now, save for final rounds of finish sanding a little later in the process, but there were a few minor low areas--mainly the result of earlier trowel marks--here and there that, after cleanup, I filled with more epoxy filler.  In particular, the starboard poop deck required a bit more work to deal with the changing contours of that area, between the camber of the sidedeck (extending across the aft end of the cockpit) and the upsweeping-yet relatively flat athwartships--contour of the poop deck itself as it extended aft.  The coachroof and repaired areas of the sidedeck were virtually at their final contours, and required just spot filling of the minor void areas.

The cockpit still required various work to prepare it for primer.  Beginning on the newly-recored forward section of the sole, I used hole saws to re-cut the openings for an inspection port at the after end, and the bilge pump at the forward end.  I'd glassed right over these openings to make that process easier, but to finish up the fairing work it was time to get the holes recut.

Meanwhile, I worked in other areas of the cockpit to prepare old fastener holes and various gelcoat cracks and other issues for fairing filler, reaming out the holes and grinding as needed to open the other areas so they could accept the filler.  Afterwards, I applied a coat of fairing compound throughout the cockpit as needed, including skim coats over the seating areas to smooth and even these out.
