For the final time, I washed and sanded the recored deck areas, this time only as needed to lightly scuff the epoxy overcoating.  When I was done, I cleaned the decks thoroughly, first with a vacuum, then solvent-wash.

With everything clean and otherwise ready, I got started on the nonskid masking, beginning in the cockpit.  Because the existing pattern was still in place, and slightly raised from its surroundings, I followed exactly the existing lines and corner curves of the old pattern.

I'd hoped and planned to progress further with the taping, but an afternoon shop visitor and unexpected appointment limited the amount of time I had after lunch, so I'd continue the taping tomorrow.
