Triton #680 | Wednesday, September 17, 2008

After several days away from this project, we resumed work today--or, more to the point, the owner did, with only minimal assistance from me.

He began by taping off the new boot top, and then sanding off the paint and primer directly beneath so that he could apply bottom paint up to the newly-struck waterline from last week.  This improved the boat's appearance considerably.

Later in the day, after cleaning up the sanding dust from the earlier work, we masked off the smooth deck areas in preparation for the first coat of nonskid paint.  Then, the owner applied, by roller, the first coat of beige nonskid paint, leaving it to cure overnight.
