Triton #680 | Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Over the course of the morning, I applied three coats of Awlcraft 2000 acrylic polyurethane topcoat to the previously-prepared hull.  The color selected by the owner is called aubergine, a deep plum-like purple--a unique and agreeable choice that will truly set this boat apart from the crowd.

Unfortunately, these photos fail to do the color and its overall effect the proper justice.  Plus, the bare boat still cries out for her boottop, for a varnished toerail, and for her crisp white deck to be uncovered.  Nevertheless, far be it from me to withhold the pictures I do have, despite their less than stellar composition.

More and better photos later.
